Worcestershire CF’s Pints and Policy event

Tuesday, 29 January, 2013

On Sunday January 27th, Worcestershire Conservative Future held its first Pints and Policy event at the Hand in Glove pub in Worcester. Pints and Policy is an event organised by Worcestershire Conservative Future which allows members to participate in Conservative Policy Forum debates while having a few drinks at the same time!

It was an enjoyable event with a huge turnout. We were also supported by West Midlands Regional CF candidate, Hayden Walmsley, who welcomed the return of Conservative Policy Forum to WCF and was greatly encouraged by the discussion we had. Hayden also kindly contributed a prize to the raffle which successfully raised £13 for the branch.

We also had two new members at the event; James Green and Efan Donovan, who joined Mid Worcestershire and Worcester Conservative Associations respectively online the night before. After discussing the topic of Europe, we agreed that a referendum is definitely the way forward for Britain and that Britain has too much vested interests in the EU to suddenly leave. I look forward to more events like this in the year.
