Vacant voluntary positions to support the CF National team

To shadow the structure of the Party Board and Party Strategy Team, as well as to professionalise CF even further, the National Executive propose the following structure for the national team:

National Executive

CF Fundraising Officer

Over the course of 2010-2011 CF began the process of bringing in sponsorship and fundraising to supplement and reduce the costs of events and campaigning. The National Executive is looking to expand the amount of capital investment coming into the organisation. They are looking for someone with a proven track record of fundraising and bringing in sponsorship.

The National Executive is looking for the successful candidate to:

  • Bring in substantial amounts of fundraising and sponsorship to hold bigger and better events
  • Build long-term relationships with key sponsors
  • Create a professional fundraising strategy
  • Create a long-term marketing strategy to ensure Conservative Future offers the best package to donors and sponsors

 

CF Publicity Officer

Conservative Future has received a large number of positive media stories over 2010-2011. The National Executive are looking to expand the positive PR and media hits that are needed so we can sell our positive message to improve the lives of young people across the UK.

The National Executive is looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive experience of PR and media (with a particular focus on young people)
  • Further a PR strategy that is already in existence
  • Encourage Regions/Areas/Branches to sell a positive message from their campaigns, social action and events into their respective local media stations
  • Work with CCHQ Press Office to ensure messages are coherent
  • Support the National Chairman on articles
  • Act as the secretary to the CF National Executive and further sub-committees


CF Women’s and Candidates Coordinator

Conservative Future has a substantial number of women who want to be involved with fellow young people and also have their views heard within the policy making of the Conservative Party.

The National Executive is looking for a dynamic person willing to spearhead this position:

  • Represent women within Conservative Future
  • Encourage young women to get more involved within the Conservative Party
  • Represent women’s views on Party Policy making
  • Hold regular quarterly social events and networking opportunities for women
  • Work with strategic partners within the party including Conservative Women’s Organisation (CWO) and Women2Win
  • Form a committee to support your women’s and candidates work
  • Encourage young people to become candidates
  • Run a campaign for Conservative Future members to become school Governors and Health Trust Members/Governors
  • Produce a Pocket Guide on 50 tips to standing as a young candidate working alongside the Best Practice Officer

  

CF Young Professionals Coordinator

The 2010-2011 Conservative Future National Executive created a new branch of Conservative Future that has proven to be a huge success. CF Young Professionals is the branch of Conservative Future designed to represent young professionals across the party. There is no age limit so anyone who considers themselves a young professional can attend events. CF Young Professional Branches have been set up in London, Manchester and Leeds with branches planned in the South West, South East, Cardiff and Birmingham.

The National Executive are looking for a committed person to:

  • Hold regular national events
  • Promote all events using regular communications
  • Encouraging the set up of new CFYP branches across the UK
  • Have a proven track record of organising logistics and event management, resulting in delivery of high quality events
  • To form a committee to support your event management
  • Work with the Fundraising Officer to bring in substantial sponsorship for events
  • Book high profile speakers to encourage members to attend
  • Engage with a series of external organisations that have substantial amount of Conservative minded Young Professionals
  • Think outside the box, creating exciting and varied events
  • Have the passion to network an event
  • Have a strong public speaking ability

 

CF Universities and NUS Officer

Conservative Future has a branch in over 90% of universities across the UK. There is a strong need for University branches to become more of an integral part of the Conservative Future family. The National Executive are looking for a dynamic person, ideally a student, to spearhead a strategy to connect Universities and encourage the Conservative message to be spread on campus.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work with the National Chairman and Deputy Chairman Political in running a national campaign to improve the status of vocational education
  • Encourage the development of new branches and restart dormant branches
  • Liaise with Regional Executives across the UK in building and supporting CF University Branches
  • Create a platform for Branch Chairman to communicate Best Practice via an online secure portal
  • Promote a series of University specific campaigns on campus i.e www.factsonfees.com
  • Support the National Chairman and the Deputy Chairman Membership on the construction of a centre right group at the NUS Conference.
  • Work with the National Chairman to ensure an efficient Freshers Fair programme is delivered.
  • Holding a series of events across the UK to encourage students to get involved
  • Representing student issues via the CF Policy Forum
