The UKYP is currently seeking views of young people on the topics to be discussed by MYPs at the meeting on 30th October. This is a unique opportunity for young people to set the national political agenda, and make British political history. Every issue that is put forward will be added to a debate list, which will then be subject to an online vote to short-list the 5 issues for debate.

BYC wants this new Parliament to put into practice the actions young people know will make their lives better.

It’s our Parliament too. We want our vision to inform and influence what it does.

To make sure this happens BYC is going to campaign before the next Election with a General Election Manifesto. This will detail FIVE specific things Parliament must do (new laws they must make, Government work they must examine) to make the lives of everyone aged 25 and under better. BYC will lobby existing MPs, people who are running to be elected as an MP in the General Election and Peers from the House of Lords to sign up to take these 5 actions once a new Parliament is formed.

We want YOU to create this General Election Manifesto.

If you could make Parliament do something specifically for young people – what would it be?

TELL US at
