Another Success for Durham University Conservative Association

Durham University Conservative Association (DUCA) is the largest political society at the university, in the North East region, and one of the largest nationally, holding regular debates, social events, and campaigning hard across the region.

North East CF campaign in Harrogate & Knaresborough

On Saturday December 12, Conservative Future activists from various branches across the North East joined local PPCs and members on a 7am battle bus from Newcastle to Harrogate to help deliver a letter and survey from David Cameron to the constituents of Harrogate and Knaresborough.

This campaign project was directly targeted at voters who want change but are unsure how to achieve it.

Giving support to a good cause at Christmas

From the Blue Blog: I report back on a festive project to help disadvantaged children.
North East Conservative Future have been very busy getting into the Festive spirit by taking part in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox appeal organised by Samaritans Purse.
This project has been running for nearly twenty years and has delivered millions of shoeboxes to under-privileged children in Europe, Africa and Asia. Children are presented with boxes regardless of their background and faith. The project is very simple. You take a shoebox, wrap it up in Christmas wrapping paper, …

North East CF take part in Operation Christmas Child

North East Conservative Future have been very busy getting into the Festive spirit by taking part in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox appeal organised by Samaritans Purse.

North East campaigning trip to Glasgow North East

On Saturday 7th November, Conservative Future members from branches across Northumberland & Tyne and Wear joined local PPCs, members and activists on a 7am battle bus to travel up to the Glasgow North-East By-Election.
In total, we managed to help deliver more than 10,000 leaflets for the Conservative candidate Ruth Davidson.

Operation Christmas Child Project

North East Conservative Future are taking part in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal this year.

Im sure most people took part in this very worthwhile charity whilst they were at school but for those who dont know about it here is some information about the project.

It is very simple. You get a shoebox, choose whether it is for a boy or a girl and then fill it with treats.

Emma Carr wins the Eric Forth Award for Activism

The Eric Forth Award for Activism is an annual award given out at the YBF Activist Training Conference:

Eric Forth was one of the true characters of British politics.

A House of Commons man to his core, Eric not only knew parliamentary procedure inside out but he knew how – and when- to use the rules to maximum advantage.

North East Drinks Event

On Friday the 16th October North East Conservative Future hosted a drinks event which helped to raise money for St Oswalds Hospice.  The event not only attracted CF members but also local Parliamentary Candidates, the Regional Chairman and local MEP.
The night was a huge success with over £80 raised in all.  Raffle prizes included gift vouchers from local restaurants, European Union Champagne, Conservative goodies and a variety of goods donated by Starbucks.

Sunderland CF launches ‘Youth Vote’

Dominic McDonough, Sunderland CF Chairman, yesterday launched the ‘Youth Vote’ campaign in Sunderland.

The campaign which will be running throughout the Region will encourage young people to go out and vote in the European, Local and General elections.

Our campaign will take us into local schools, colleges and youth groups where we will emphasize the importance of voting as a young person and the links between voting and democracy.
