On Tuesday 20th April, Richmond Park’s Conservative parliamentary candidate, Zac Goldsmith teamed up with local residents for a Social Action day.
Following a consultation, Zac and the team met with some residents of Robinson court, in Richmond upon Thames. The residents had suggested that there were two sites in the court that could do with some gardening.
Homebase Richmond kindly donated some plants and volunteers set about digging over the land and planting the shrubs.
Alongside the gardening, local Conservative council candidate, Katharine Robinson had organised and advertised a “bring and ...

Both events were a huge success and as well as succeeding in transforming two of the sites in Robinson court, we also managed to run an exciting and practical recycling scheme.

The shadow Home Secretary, Chris Grayling joined us later on in the afternoon and was incredibly supportive. Local residents were thrilled and many were keen to talk to Zac and Chris Grayling during the day.

On Friday evening a dozen of us met at Paddington station to embark on a four hour train journey to Hereford in order to take part in a huge action weekend to support the Conservative candidate Jesse Norman.

After checking into our accommodation and visiting Hereford’s infamous ‘The Spread’ we assembled on Saturday morning bright and early to be given a full constituency briefing on local issues and priorities before heading out to engage with voters. We delivered over 8,000 pieces of literature in key areas and canvassed hundreds of residents, listening to their concerns.

We were delighted to help drive such a significant action weekend in a top target seat where every vote counts. Voters in Hereford have a strong and experienced candidate who will stand up for their interests and put Hereford back on the map.

The London Conservative Future group was joined by activists from the local association and campaigning took place throughout the whole weekend.

A big thank you to the Hereford Association members who lent us their rooms for the weekend and also organised the campaigning sessions.

If you would like to attend another one of our action weekends in the future then please do feel free to get in contact with us at london@conservativefuture.com.

This was in stark contrast to Gordon Brown’s tired, disinterested and backward looking campaign, which offers more of the same dithering and debt and not a sparkle of innovation or change.

The polls are tight, and we have all have a very tough fight on our hands, but we must pull together to convince voters we can offer a genuine alternative to this decaying Labour Government. London Conservative Future spent the weekend campaigning in Watford for PPC Richard Harrington and the local action team. The event, which included a detailed campaign briefing and constituency profile session, saw a dozen activists spend Saturday and Sunday on the campaign trail in the top target seat.

It was great to team up with the local action team and help the campaign get the message out to voters and make a difference. I know that in Richard, residents have a strong candidate who will make their voice hear in Westminster, fight for their interests and deliver real change to Watford.

The action weekend was part of London Conservative Future’s Target Seats campaign, whereby resources and activists are channelled into marginal areas to make a difference. Other aspects of the campaign include regional activists sessions and telephone canvassing slots of CCHQ’s state-of-the-art GENEVA canvassing studio.

It was fantastic to have so many fresh faced activists to launch our official Target Seats Campaign.

The countdown has begun and it’s vital that our activists hit the phones and the streets to engage with voters and offer a real change to voters.

Our huge network of volunteers has created fresh new branches from in the North, South, East and West of London, recruiting hundreds of new members and encouraging young people to play a part in politics.

Over the past 12 months, our membership has managed over 20 on-the-ground campaign days in top target seats such as Richmond, Tooting, Carshalton, Sutton, Eltham, Westminster to name just a few. In conjunction with this, our experienced team of telephone canvassers has held weekly sessions non-stop for over 20 candidates from in London and beyond securing hundreds of new Conservative pledges and adding real value to the election effort.

Recently, David Cameron and Eric Pickles opened CCHQ’s brand new GENEVA studio, which is 40 seats strong and allows more activists than ever to hit the phones and call for change. With a general election only months away, it’s more important than ever that our teams are out and about making their mark on the campaign trail and showing the party and the country that we are motivated, committed and dedicated to bringing real change and fresh ideas to Britain.

In London, we want our 2010 campaign effort to get off to a flying start and that’s why we have arrange a launch party which will include senior briefings and committee announcements to strengthen our top team.

The countdown clock has begun, whether Gordon Brown likes it or not, so let’s pull together and make 2010 the year for change and THE year where Conservative Future made its mark.

The Leader of the Conservative Party, David Cameron, yesterday opened a new Campaign Centre at Conservative Headquarters and invited all Conservative Future members to get involved in the General Election Campaign. Supported by the Party Chairman Eric Pickles, David met over 40 CF members who attended the event and declared the GENEVA Campaign Centre open for business.

In both 2001 and 2005 the GENEVA organisation made a tremendous difference to the outcome in some of our most important battleground seats. This time, and with your help, the GENEVA organisation has the potential to secure a Conservative victory at the next election.

The GENEVA Campaign Centre, based at CCHQ in Millbank, London, is the Party’s key tool for fighting marginal seats – the seats we must win if David Cameron is to be the next Prime Minister. By volunteering to work at the GENEVA Campaign Centre, you will be directly involved in fighting the Election, and seeing how the Party is working for Victory.

Open from 1000 to 2030 everyday and 1100 to 1600 on Saturdays, the Campaign Centre is based in a bright, modern centre, with room to relax, have fun – and help make change happen. You are welcome to get involved anytime.

It seems like only yesterday that we launched London Conservative Future at the Old Bank of England with Eric Pickles and Liam Fox. Since then, our activists have successfully managed numerous campaign days both on the ground and at the GenEVA telephone canvassing studio. The enthusiasm and commitment of Conservative Future activists is second to none and has played a key role in the party’s wider election machine.

Since then, our activists have successfully managed numerous campaign days both on the ground and at the GenEVA telephone canvassing studio. The enthusiasm and commitment of Conservative Future activists is second to none and has played a key role in the party’s wider election machine.

As this morning’s advertising campaign proclaims, 2010 really needs to be a year for change for our country, and Conservative Future activists can help make this happen. The election countdown clock has already begun and it’s more essential than ever that our activists are out and about connecting with voters and delivering a message for change.

We already know that Gordon Brown’s strategy is to attack the Conservatives personally about where they were sent to school or their background and it’s vital we do not sink to such desperate depths. Already, this strategy is causing rows internally with Labour members who do not want to be tarred with the negative campaigning brush, but Gordon just won’t budge. So, while Labour is smearing, schemeing and plotting, the Conservative Party will be engaging with voter concerns and taking action on the issues that matter.

In the next month, London Conservative Future will announce further details on its target seats campaign and committee reshuffle that will strengthen the management structure for the challenges ahead. Please make sure you join our Target Seats campaign on myconservatives.com and we will be making use of this resource to keep everyone up to date with our campaign schedule.

This is it. There is no turning back now. So let’s work together and make 2010 a year for change.
