CF is leading the way in encouraging young people to take an active interest in politics and has produced an inspiring video highlighting this.

As you know our forward thinking organisation is now technologically savvy with it’s own dedicated CFTV Officer. The video captures the sprit of CF activism – showcasing our passion and commitment at the N02ID rally on Tuesday 6th October at the Conservative Party Conference. The rally had a fantastic turnout of people willing to defend their civil liberties and personal freedoms and was organised by CF and NO2ID.

The piece highlights the failure of the Labour government to guarantee security within it’s database state and features Damian Green, Shadow Minister for Immigration, calling for ‘freedom fighters’ to rally against the National Identity Card Scheme. CF is really utilising new media technologies to communicate it’s activity and message and CFTV Officer Raheem feels that video is one of the best ways to do this and states – “we’re really excited about how the rally went, with a great positive reaction from the public. The video truly captures the passion and determination of activists in pursuit of their cause.”

This latest video is once again engaging, vibrant and sums up our organisation’s energy. CF is truly leading the way amongst all the political youth groups to encourage young people to actively participate in politics and our new videos are an excellent way to showcase this and engage more young activists.

Last week the Nottingham University Conservative Association launched its official YouTube channel, Nottingham CF TV.

NUCA President, Nick Allsopp said “We’re launching this channel for two main reasons: firstly to promote what it is that we do to a wider audience, and secondly to give our members the opportunity to get experience and practice being on camera.”

Despite its short life, Nottingham CF TV has already attracted interviews with Philip Hammond MP, the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury; Rowena Holland, the Parliamentary candidate for Nottingham South; and James Poland, the assistant to Anna Soubry, the Broxtowe Parliamentary candidate.

Nick added, “Later this term we are hosting a Young Britons’ Foundation TV techniques workshop; a chance for our members to learn the basic TV competencies, and this YouTube channel is fantastic opportunity for our members to put the skills they learn here into practice.”
