Polling day in the Bedford Mayoral Election is only one day away and we have pledges to call on, last deliveries to be made, and also need your help on polling day with telling and getting out the vote. We know our opponents will be very active from now until close of play Thursday and so we need a strong GOTV effort if we are to elect Parvez Akhtar – a local resident selected at an open primary – as the next Mayor of Bedford.

On Saturday London Conservative Future delivered over 25,000 pieces of literature in the top target seat of Sutton. The event, which was organised with PPC Philippa Stroud, was attended by over 30 activists from across the UK.
It was fantastic to see so many people helping to deliver a message of change.
The team met in two groups at 9.30am, arriving at the meeting point for 10am for two campaign sessions followed by an association lunch.
Campaign Director Patrick Sullivan was delighted with the turn out, “It was an early start but everyone …
On Saturday London Conservative Future held a campaign day with David Gold, PPC for Eltham. The event, which was attended by over a dozen young activists, saw hundreds of prospective voters visited in a large canvassing session, securing hundreds of new Conservative pledges.
The team arrived at 10am in Eltham for the morning session of canvassing, arranged by local activist Matt Scott. They were then treated to a hearty meal in the local pub before heading out for the afternoon session until 4.30pm.
This was an excellent example of London Conservative Future …
I hope you will have noticed the launch of our Youtube channel: Conservative Future TV.
Making videos is another great way to show a particular message in politics, as seen by the success of WebCameron. We want CF branches to promote themselves as much as possible and this is why we have launched our Youtube channel.
We want CF members across the country to be able to record their own videos and then send them to us so that we can get them online for all to see.
The impact of the past few weeks’ campaigning is being felt today at the heart of government. As I write this Labour have lost 200 councillors, and the few remaining councils they control are tumbling like dominos. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the momentum for change shown domestically will be repeated in Sunday’s European Election results.
Yesterday saw CF complete its campaigning for these latest elections, with teams of activists in all parts of the country. Our campaign these past few weeks has been unremitting, and I hope you will …
We come at last to polling day. As the CF Campaigning Map testifies, Conservative Future has led an impressive campaign in all corners of the country, with activists giving up weekends and week nights over and over again to deliver our positive message to voters; so let us first take this opportunity to thank everyone who has already committed so much to helping the cause.
Today our job is to show voters, one final time, that not all political parties are the same.
My team of activists from the Cities of London & Westminster CF are fast becoming campaigning veterans, turning out as they have time and again during this current round of European Elections. Tonight we made the final round of deliveries across Marylebone, campaigning well beyond sunset even on these light summer nights.
We’re grateful to people who came straight from work, and from as far a field as Croydon to help this key ward maximise turnout tomorrow.

Neil Wilson and his team of Conservative Future activists in Liverpool richly deserve praise for the tireless campaign they’ve been leading. Neil has had his team out time and again, working hard to present the people of Liverpool with an alternative to Brown. His Facebook sums it up eloquently: “Labour STILL isn’t working.”
What has your branch been doing? Send in your reports and photos to edward.hallam@conservativefuture.com and, like Neil’s team, you could be on the front page of ConservativeFuture.com
James Deighton, Chairman of Leicester University Conservative Future, has sent in this report on his organisation’s contribution to the European Election campaign:
We at Leicester University CF have been busier than ever in the run up to the county council and EU elections tomorrow. Despite these elections coinciding with the exam period – as they often seem to do – our members have been out in force delivering leaflets and canvassing support.
We have been concentrating our efforts within the city and the Harborough and NW Leicestershire constituencies, where our help has …
On Saturday Cities of London & Westminster CF campaigned in Marylebone High Street, where we were joined by Dr Charles Tannock MEP.
We ran a street stall, handing out Euro election literature, ballooons for the children, and seeking signatures on the growing petition calling upon Gordon Brown to go to the country and give us the General Election we need to break the festering political inertia in Westminster that this moribund government is mired with.
