What makes you a Conservative?
Even though I am new to the world of politics and have only been a Conservative voter for a few years I realise the importance of a decentralised strong state, the idea of social responsibility, freedom and the protection of rural communities. It is time to put an end to the failed “Labour Project” and have hope and faith in the Conservative Party to bring about real change.

What makes you a Conservative?
Growing up under the New Labour government and seeing our country being ruined like it has made me a Conservative. I am a Conservative because I want what is best for this country and think that this is the party that can get Britain back to being Great again.

What makes you a Conservative?
I believe in Conservative values, and I think that the Conservative Party has brought the right policies to the table to help sort out the mess that this country is in. The way that the Labour Party has treated the British military is unacceptable, and a Conservative government is needed to save the lives of Britain’s fighting men.

What makes you a Conservative?
I’m a Conservative because I believe strongly in personal liberty and individual and social responsibility, and because I’m a meritocrat – I believe in hard work, sound money and the right to enjoy as much as possible the fruits of your own labour, and also to work hard to improve the quality of life of yourself and your family in the long-term without the state punishing success or discouraging personal advancement and aspiration. I believe we all have …
What makes you a Conservative?
I have always been very independent, and as a result I believe strongly in individual responsibility and social justice. I also support free market principles and the belief that government should be kept to a minimum, without jeopardising the freedom, prosperity or aspirations of anyone in society. These are all beliefs which I have found to be reciprocated in the modern Conservative Party.
What are you currently working on?
Mainly on planning freshers and beyond and trying to find ways of attracting as many people as possible to join CF next year. Beyond that, trying to organise speakers, events and campaigning for the rest of the year.
When do you think the next General Election will be?
An autumn election is a slim possibility – depending on the Glasgow & Norwich by-election results. However, I suspect Mr Brrooon won’t leave Number 10 until he has to be dragged out!
Why should people get involved with organisations like Conservative Future?
CF isn’t just a great way of getting involved with campaigning but it’s also the social aspect which makes it such a great organisation. Plus, with that general election under 1 year away – what better time to get involved?
Why should people get involved with organisations like Conservative Future?
It is easy to make a lot of noise outside the tent. It is only fighting for your views inside where you can make a difference! Conservative Future provides the perfect opportunity for young people on the centre right of politics to not only express there views to people who will take them seriously but will also enable you to put forward ideas for improving the way in which our party and country operates in a lively discussion environment. CF also provides a fantastic spring board to get involved with politics with lively social events being a regular addition adding a much needed fun factor! CF is tomorrow’s Conservative party which I hope many new faces continue to get involved with.
What makes you a Conservative?
I believe that everyone should have the opportunity reach their full potential and fulfil their aspirations in life. Under New Labour, streams of red tape and soaring tax bills mean that many hardworking families simply cannot afford to get up the ladder.
Under Gordon Brown the UK has record debt and the gap between the rich and the poor is at its widest since the 1960s – this is a moral disgrace. The only way we can get a change of direction is if we have a change of Government.
What are you currently working on?
Lots – London CF Summer ball; campaign days and a conference weekend in Hazel Grove. I’m also currently revising for my exams as well as fulfilling my Council duties!
Why should people get involved with organisations like Conservative Future?
Too many people used to look at the Tory Party and see a bunch of grey-haired men and elderly activists. Now, it’s very clear that future generations are turning to the Conservatives to deliver the sort of change they’d like to see – big global challenges like climate change or my own brief of international development – so it’s really important to have a strong team of young, enthusiastic activists to help win them over.
Pick one thing about the last 12 years of the Labour government that you would change?
The development of the Labour “spin-lie machine”
What makes you a Conservative?
A belief that the power and responsibility of each individual person is the ultimate force in creating a better society, and it beats the tyranny of top-down bureaucracies every time.
What are you currently working on?
An exciting new project to regenerate a long-term, sustainable network of under-30s to augment the existing CF branches in Yorkshire and the Humber. Labour famously chanted “Things Can Only Get Better” in 1997, but ever since that high watermark their membership has been in freefall. I’m working to make sure we avoid their mistakes and have a strong, self-renewing base of supporters behind us long after we win the next election.
