London CF Calls 4 Change @ Xmas

23 December 2009 Clare Hilley No Comment

On Monday 21st London Conservative activists hit the phones at CCHQ’s state-of-the-art GenEVA telephone canvassing studio to speak to voters in Carshalton and Wallington. The event, which was accompanied by mince pies and Christmas crackers, saw activists engage with local residents on behalf of Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Ken Andrew.

The canvassing session was officially the last GenEVA event of 2009, which has been running consistently every Monday night with activists from in London and beyond.

London Conservative Future’s GenEVA campaign co-ordinator, Peter Cuthbertson, was presented with a Christmas gift from the group on for driving numerous campaign sessions over the last year. Accepting the award, Cuthbertson said, “It’s been a great year of campaigning at CCHQ and every week the turnout is increasing as we near the general election. Next year we will be rolling out of campaign to a much wider activist base as GenEVA continues to become a crucial part of the Conservative Party’s campaign machine,” he concluded.

This session was the last event of 2009 from London Conservative Future, with a reshuffle, launch party and target seat campaign planned for 2010.

Merry Christmas to you all and thank you for all of your hard work and continued support. We look forward to seeing you in the new year!
