Eric Pickles launches London CF GenEVA campaign

Eric Pickles, Party Chairman and Andrew Griffiths, Chief of Staff, have addressed London Conservative Future activists at Conservative Central Office’s state-of-the art GenEVA canvassing studio. The event, which took place on Monday evening, was in recognition of the team’s hard work in the last few months, successfully holding numerous canvassing sessions for top target candidates and securing hundreds of new Conservative pledges.
Since Eric helped launch London Conservative Future back in January 2009 our volunteer teams have been out on the streets and on the phones working hard to help candidates in London and beyond to get their messages out to voters.
The success of our campaigns has come purely from the dedication of our activists on the ground, who continue to make a huge contribution to critical campaigns across the region. The next election will be a tough fight, and I’m delighted that so many of our volunteers are keen to work hard for change and make a significant contribution to the party’s campaign machine as we approach the general election.
The team was given a full campaign brief by Mr Pickles, who is famous for his commitment to grass roots campaigning and getting the message out on the ground.
London Conservative Future also announced the appointment of Peter Cuthbertson to the role of GenEVA campaign coordinator after consistently achieving record turnouts at the telephone-canvassing centre.
“I’m delighted to play a role in helping our candidates & activists engage with voters via GenEVA. With a general election just around the corner there is no room for complacency. We all have a part to play and it’s great to see that a seasoned campaigner like Eric recognises and supports London Conservative Future as a key element of the Conservative Party’s election effort,” Cuthbertson concluded.
