We start August still riding high after the magnificent result in Norwich North. It was a super result for the constituency, Chloe, the Party and Conservative Future. We played a large role in helping a fellow CF member become a Member of Parliament and we should be very proud of this victory.

I want to thank all the members who gave up many hours to help campaign in Norwich, or in the phone centre in London – it did make a real difference. I remember watching Labour desperately ‘spinning’ before the result that the Conservatives would only win by a small margin, but I think the 16% swing from them to us put an end to that argument!

This next month sees the national team preparing to get freshers packs out to branches across the country ahead of our main recruiting period in September. Following this we have the Party Conference and this will probably be CF’s busiest one yet – more to come on that soon! If you have not yet booked your pass I suggest you do it asap.

I would also like to welcome Laura Dodd who is the new Regional Chairman for the West Midlands. Her predecessor, Jimmy McLoughlin, made a huge contribution to the region and I know she will help to improve it in the run up to the General.

So lets keep the fight going over the summer and look forward to a great Party Conference in October!

Regards,

Michael Rock

Wiltshire CF
http://www.wiltshirecf.com/

Wiltshire CF have established a branch in all but one of the Constituencies in the space of 5 months. The infrastructure which is now in place lays the foundations for rapid membership expansion and a solid campaigning force to be established. Toby Elliott has worked tirelessly to achieve this and will no doubt be rewarded come a General Election.
