I’ve just returned from a very successful Spring Forum in Cheltenham. Not only was it a success for our Party, but also for Conservative Future.
We campaigned on the doorsteps in the morning; in the afternoon, we carried out a petition against ID cards on Cheltenham High Street, with both the PPC Mark Coote and Party Chairman Eric Pickles supporting us; and our evening event with The Freedom Association, with Simon Richards introducing speeches from Daniel Hannan MEP and Roger Helmer MEP, was both well attended and enjoyed by all.
In the short time that Mr Pickles has been Party Chairman, he has given so much to CF and really understands the vital role we play within the Party. The impact we had on Budget Day was fantastic and massively appreciated by the Party; we look forward to strengthening this relationship in the coming months and addressing other long-standing issues.
We are also a step closer to the elections on June 4th. From speaking with CF activists in Cheltenham, and the reports we get from our Regional and Area Chairman, it is clear you are all working very hard in the run-up to these elections and I can’t thank you enough for all the time you give and the dedication you show; we all hope for an exceptional result that you can all be proud of .
I’m sure you all appreciate that we need to continue this degree of effort until early June and I am absolutely certain we will get a great result in both the local elections and the European elections. CF can make a difference; your efforts have shown that already!
Onwards and upwards!
Michael Rock

Branch of the Month
A feature to highlight the great work our branches do, as well as providing advice and ideas to other branches.
Cheshire and the Wirral CF
This month the ‘award’ goes to Cheshire and the Wirral CF. This is not a branch, but rather one of the Areas. The team behind it (Lee and Declan) has a great website up and running – one that is updated regularly and provides a focal point for CF’s activities in the area.
New Branch map
We have now launched a fully interactive branch map, showing CF branches across all of the UK. Let us know if your branch is not on the map, or the details are incorrect.

Posters/Images for branches
This has been updated with new images and now widgets as well.

CFBranch
A free blog for any CF branch that wants to have one. CF needs to become a much more professional organisation and the starting point for that is to ensure that every branch has effective communication methods in place.

We are running various ‘national’ campaigns and events and your branch can get involved. Visit the links to find out more.
Demand a General Election from the Prime Minister
CF has launched a campaign to put pressure on the Prime Minister to call a General Election.
Members and supporters of CF can write to Downing St to call for an election, so that the voters can choose who they want to lead them out of this recession

CF backs NO2ID
Conservative Future officially supports NO2ID, the campaign against the Government’s planned ID card and National Identity Register.
Many Universities around the country are working to pass student motions against ID cards – if you are interested in getting your branch to do the same then contact Edward Hallam.

CF Campaigning Map
This map shows the coverage of campaigning, by CF members, ahead of the European and council elections.
We have put together a map of the UK which exclusively displays upcoming CF campaign days, with contact details for every event, so that activists can easily locate events in their region to support.

Conservative Future Conference @ Manchester 09
Sunday 4th October from 12pm – Don’t miss out on CF’s official half day conference
Following the success of the training day in Birmingham last year, CF will once again be teaming up with the Young Britons’ Foundation to hold a half day conference just for Conservative Future members. This will take place on the Sunday before the Manchester Party Conference begins.
The day will feature TV and media training, speeches from leading figures in the political world, and a party in the evening.
Full details of the day will be released closer to the time. For now please register your interest with Christian May.
And remember that if you do want to come you will need to book extra accommodation for the Sunday night!
