5 minute Q&A with…Boris Johnson

15 February 2009 Richard Jackson 2 Comments

Name: Boris Johnson
Role: Mayor of London

What are you currently working on?

I’m grappling with getting Londoners through the recession, getting a grip on knife crime, building Crossrail, squeezing every last drop of opportunity and efficiency from the Olympic lemon. You get the idea

Who is your political hero?

Aristotle, Pericles & the Mayor in Jaws

When do you think the next General Election will be?

I suspect Gordon Brown will wait until the last minute, but quite frankly one can’t come soon enough.

Why should people get involved with organisations like Conservative Future?

Because quite simply it’s the hottest ticket in town, and a great first dip of the toe in the warm waters of politics.

Pick one thing about the last 12 years of the Labour government that you would change?

I’ll tell you what I wouldn’t change, the creation of a London Mayor!
